Campus Liaison of Define American 2019

Prey Patel is the current Campus Liaison for the local Define American chapter at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He is a Freshman who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering with previous experience with assisting public outreach organizations. His duties include also working with Student Life Faculty for help setting up events that help DA’s cause of supporting undocumented immigrants and spread awareness in meaningful ways on campus. He is ecstatic to be a part of Define American, as he is a first-generation American, and has seen the struggles of immigrants firsthand, which inspires him everyday to do good by his peers.

"Being Campus Liaison means that I get the privilege of constantly bugging our Student Life head, Nick Seidler, for guidance. My time with Define American has been a transformative
one at the very least. I became part of a large group that truly cared about bettering the world through acceptance and I believe it has made me a better person for it. The simple idea that through educating and informing others about the plight and actual state of undocumented immigrants is mind-boggling to me. The story of Define American will be one of triumph and achievement, and I’m glad to say that I helped write it."
