WMSE HIDDEN HEROES

The WMSE service group is dedicated to assisting in the creation and planning of events and content for the WMSE radio station with the main intent of assisting the local community through podcasts, outreach, and community events.

Our group is working in conjunction with the WMSE radio station to try and reach out to the community to help organizations who are struggling with the coronavirus economy. This can take many forms, whether it’s in interviewing non-profit organizations to publicize their message or in assisting in the planning and administration of the Rockabilly Chili event. According to the National Restaurant Association, 17% of American restaurants have closed due to the coronavirus. That is why the Rockabilly Chili event, in particular, is a main focus of ours, as it is a way to address these mass closings by promoting and celebrating the hundreds of wonderful restaurants that Milwaukee has to offer. We hope that by helping WMSE in this event that we can have a truly positive impact on the incredible community around us.
