Social Media Manager of Define American 2019

Jade Becknell is a Computer Engineering student at MSOE and served as the DAC MSOE Media Specialist for the 2018-19 academic year. Jade has a very strong passion for visual arts and hopes to go into a technical job in the filmmaking industry. She helped found the Define American chapter at MSOE this past year with the help of her fellow officers. Her main job was to communicate meeting times and event details on Twitter and Facebook, as well as design all posters and advertisements for the club’s events throughout the year. The officers strove to find balance in delegation and to communicate with the other on-campus organizations that they coordinated with, and on the topic of those trials, E-board member Jade says, “It took a lot of effort to plan the events and get all of the logistics of everything right, let alone get people to come to the events/ meetings, it is definitely a work in progress, but we made a lot of significant strides in the last couple months and I have really learned a lot more about working productively within a team, so I am excited to see what next year brings.”
